The Hobbit Prerelease Event
Get an early look and hands-on experience with the cards from the newest Magic: the Gathering set! Play in a casual event for any and all Magic players!
When:
- Friday, August 7th @ 6:30 PM, 10:30 PM
- Saturday, August 8th @ 11:00 AM, 3:30 PM, 8:00 PM
- Sunday, August 9th @ 11:00 AM, 3:30 PM
- Thursday, August 13th @ 5:00 PM
- Deckbuilding will begin sharply at the indicated time
- Expect events to run for ~ 4 hours
Registration:
- $44.99 event ticket*
- Wizards player account required
- Waitlist available in-store
- You must arrive and check-in on time to participate
*Ticket is for event entry. Not product. You must arrive on-time to participate. Please call the store to request a refund. Refunds will be in the form of store credit unless requested during business hours the day before the event or earlier.
Structure:
- Participants will receive a The Hobbit Prerelease Pack for use in the event
- You will have 50 minutes to construct your deck
- Sealed deck format, info here
- You will be paired for 3 rounds of play
- Each round is a 50 minute best-of-three matches
Prizing:
Players can win additional The Hobbit Play Booster packs!
- 3 match wins = 4 booster packs
- 2 match wins = 2 booster packs
- 1 match win = 1 booster pack
- 0 match wins = 0 booster packs
